Basq and Mai is a new Australian Swimwear and Surfwear Label from a small coastal town. Basq and Mai was born to honour the beautiful unique retro styles and vibrant colours of the 80’s and 90’s — While also supplying you with your staple signature swim and surf pieces. A brand that has it all.

At Basq and Mai we work closely with local artists and graphic designers here in Australia while in the design stage to produce exclusive retro inspired prints while also incorporating your timeless solid colours and textured swim into our collections.

As a brand, sustainability and quality is also at the forefront for Basq and Mai. All our pieces are ethically created using premium sustainable fabrics sourced from all over the world to ensure our swimwear and surfwear is the highest quality.

Our founder, Ellia is a passionate surfer who loves riding everything from shortboards to longboards and everything in between. With a love for both surfing and design, she’s passionate about creating surfwear that not only looks good but stays on in the surf and can be mix and matched with your favourite bikinis too.

Every piece is personally worn, surfed in and put to the test before it makes its way to you — ensuring each design is made for real waves, real movement and days spent in the water.
